# Project logistics: *one responsibility* for the whole chain.

A complete press line, an oven line or 96 pieces of turbine equipment – we plan, coordinate and take responsibility for the way from the factory floor to the foundation. Within Europe, overseas or as cross trade between two other continents.

Project logistics & breakbulk

## What project logistics means to us

Project cargo is never standard: every piece has dimensions, weight and dates that dictate mode, port and sequence. So we don't start with a freight quote – we start with the question of how the plant leaves the hall at all, and how it gets back in at the receiver.

Asset-light means we own no trucks and no vessels, but the network of charter brokers, breakbulk carriers, heavy-haul operators, crane companies and partner agents – and we carry the responsibility for how they work together. One project coordinator, one inbox, one commitment.

## Four things we hear a lot – and what we do about them

01

### “The machine doesn’t fit in any container.”

Then it’s breakbulk: deck cargo, multipurpose vessel or part charter – we compare sailings and cost across all four North Range ports and pick the one that fits piece and date.

02

### “The cargo goes from Asia to the Americas – without us in Europe.”

Cross trade is our daily business: one fixed coordinator per lane, partner agents on site, FOB scope and ocean freight from one hand – the cargo never has to touch Europe.

03

### “Who actually gets the plant out of the hall?”

We do: crane placement, self-propelled trailers through the hall, seaworthy packing, dismantling and assembly teams coordinated – until the machine stands on its foundation at the receiver.

04

### “The road won’t carry the 123 tonnes.”

Then we combine: road, inland waterway, rail and sea – 1,100 km of inland barge via Oder and Rhine, for example. And we tell you before the delivery date is in the contract.

FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

From what size does a project forwarder make sense?

As soon as a piece no longer fits a standard container, several modes have to be combined, or permits, cranes and assembly need coordinating. Rule of thumb: if three service providers would have to wait for each other, you need one who steers them all.

Do you also take on partial legs?

Yes – for example only the FOB scope in the country of origin, or only port and delivery in Europe. The best solution is usually end-to-end responsibility, because interfaces produce the most expensive mistakes.

How early should we involve you?

Ideally before Incoterm, port of loading and delivery date are in the contract. Then we can still influence routing, cost and risk instead of just administering them.
